21/22 SEASON: SOUTH BEND SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
South Bend, IN - This season marks my first appearance with the great musicians of the South Bend Symphony Orchestra:
Saturday, October 9th This concert, led by music director Alastair Willis, showcased the music of American composer, George Gershwin. The program included his Porgy and Bess Suite, Rhapsody in Blue, and many of his most beloved vocal works.
Saturday, December 18th & Sunday, December 19th This year's holiday pops concert, titled "Home for the Holidays," was led by guest conductor Chelsea Tipton, and featured Broadway singers and a choir from Notre Dame.
Friday, June 17th Symphony Under the Stars: American Anthems, took place on the baseball diamond of Four Winds Field and featured guest singer, Janet Hines-Norris and mayor of South Bend, James Mueller as narrator.
Saturday, August 20th at 7PM This free concert, part of the symphony's Community Foundation Performing Arts Series, will take place outside at the Chris Wilson Pavilion at Mishawaka Park. The program, conducted by Alastair Willis, will be broadcast locally WVPE-FM 88.1.
