JUL/16: ELISABETH REMY JOHNSON PERFORMS AWAKENING STILLNESSES AT THE AMERICAN HARP SOCIETY NATIONAL
Atlanta, GA – On Saturday, July 2nd, Elisabeth Remy Johnson, principal harpist of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, performed my original solo harp composition, Awakening Stillnesses, at the 42nd American Harp Society National Conference held at Emory University Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Her solo recital program explored themes of spirituality and the creative mind. I attended the conference to speak about my work and the connections between composing, consciousness, and meditation. Her lecture-recital also featured guest speaker, Dr. Noa Kageyama, performance psychologist and founder of The Bulletproof Musician.
Ms. Remy Johnson has performed Awakening Stillnesses extensively this year in concerts across the East Coast, from Boston to Atlanta, even in Brazil at the 11th International Harp Festival of Rio de Janeiro.
