FEB/20: RECITAL AT CHICAGO BOTANIC GARDEN ORCHID SHOW WITH GUITARIST ALEX SOKOL
Glencoe, IL - On Tuesday, February 25th, guitarist Alex Sokol and I presented our sixth FREE public recital for Chicago Botanic Garden's Morning Music concert series, during the garden's annual Orchid Show in Nichols Hall, one of our favorite venues. COMMON KNOWLEDGE, my harp/guitar duo founded with Alex Sokol, has performed across Chicago live in concerts and private events since 2013. Our programs and repertoire vary widely depending on our audience and venue. This year, we drew our inspiration largely from composers Ludovico Einaudi and Claude Debussy, and Brazilian jazz and folk music. We also performed some imaginative new covers of our contemporary favorites, including Pure Imagination, Blackbird, Fire and Rain, and Mad World.
